Bad Blocks

| From Type

This is the first of a series of updates to some old typeface designs that I created years ago. If you have questions about these fonts, please contact me

Ahh, bad blocks. A term so often used with Norton Utilities. An old PowerMac I used to work on at my office crashed so often that I became infatuated with the term, waiting anxiously for the next time we would encounter each other.

Actually, this typeface was an attempt at a hand-drawn, crudely-painted style similar to so many signs I see around my small Texas hometown in little shops and used car lots. I ultimately cleaned this one up considerably (and yet it still looks so bad) to get what you see here. Try it on.

This font is free for personal use (please see the license below) and if you find it useful, send me an e-mail. I'd like to see what you've done with it.

If you'd like to use this font for commercial work, please consider a small donation of $10 to help out with my hosting fees for this site.

NOTE: This font was created in 1999 in the TrueType format. There are no PostScript or OpenType versions available.
